Fully Balanced No Nonsense

This is Erish (Pronounced AIR-ISH).  It is a Fully Balanced amplifier designed from the ground up.  It starts with two Neutrik 3 pin XLR inputs that feeds into a four gang potentiometer.  The signal then is sent into two dual channel TI OPA1656 Opamps which is looped with four independent buffers that create the output stage.  The signal chain is finished up with an Industry Standard Neutrik 4pin Self Locking XLR.

Independence

This amplifier is our vision of what fully balanced should mean.  Isolation and amplification of each part of the channel.  Both the Hot and Cold signals on each XLR channel are independently handled which results in superior Signal to Noise Ratio and Total Harmonic Distortion + Noise figures.

Measurements Bottomed Out the APX555?

As you will see below, we actually hit the limits of the APX555's capabilities.  This can be verified by using a loop-back cable (output directly into input).
